As the Director of Services for the
Winfield R-IV School District, I am challenged to find a messenger to
communicate with every student, parent, and educator in the district
to the effect that: “Every student has the ability to learn no matter
what the level of learning ability.” I found that messenger in Shari
Rusch. Shari shares her story of overcoming personal adversity with
energy and emotion through her presentation and song. She clearly
defines the triumph of the human spirit through the powerful effect of
love and the impact of her educational experiences. *Elaine Eversmeyer Henderson, Director of Services, Winfield
R-IV School District, Winfield, MO
